    Too many broken promises.

01/03/2009

Conservative candidate for Headington Hill & Northway, Marc Borja, has long campaigned for improvements to our recreation grounds and children's play areas.  During the 2008 City Council election the Conservatives campaigned to reject the Liberal plans to close many children's play areas across the City, arguing that 25 years of Labour underfunding had made many of them delapidated.  The Labour Party made promises during the electionto put right the play areas. The Foxwell Drive play area in Northway is poorly maintained, much of the equipment does not meet current standards and is condemed. Where is the investment that was promised for Northway?

Marc Borja said: "Many people in Northway are telling me that they are fed up with broken promises and poor management.  I intend to campaign hard for the things that matter to local people."
